Universities

Many of the zdi networks and zdi student laboratories cooperate with universities throughout NRW. Many of the more than 100 zdi student laboratories are even located at a university. The close cooperation between zdi.NRW and the universities enables children and young people to get a taste of university life, try out MINT topics in modern surroundings and learn about the latest scientific MINT findings. In this way, the students are shown various study options at the respective universities.

In University President of the Ruhr West University, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Susan Staude, puts it in a nutshell: “If young people can already implement or further develop their creative ideas with digital support of any kind while they are still at school, they may want to continue doing so in the future and decide to study one of the STEM subjects.”
