Qualifying rounds for the NRW final in the hot phase

We can finally offer the zdi robot competition as a face-to-face event again this year!

The local rounds started on March 30.03.2022th, 39. 15 teams (robot game category / secondary school age group) qualified for the regional competitions at 11 different locations in North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition, XNUMX teams compete in the robot performance category in the regional rounds. In the elementary school age group, nine teams have also come together to fight in the five regional rounds for qualification for the NRW final.

So far the competitions have been exciting and all teams have fought fairly.
But there are still a few rounds to go before all participants in the NRW final are known. Until then, we're posting a few photos here to get you in the mood for the finals!

The NRW final will take place on June 11, 2022 in Mülheim an der Ruhr in the West Energy Sports Hall instead.

Robot performance in Kamp-Lintfort on May 18.05.2022, XNUMX

In the robot performance, the participating teams develop their own choreography for an exciting story. The implementation of this year's competition theme "RE•use | RE•duce | RE•cycle" is free and creative. The teams create a backdrop for their appearance and program a performance for their robots, which is accompanied by music. In addition, they give small lectures about the genesis of the performance. The idea, choreography and design also play an important role in the evaluation.

In the Robot Game category, the teams completed a task course that was all about the circular economy and recycling. Tasks given symbolically on a play mat have to be solved, such as the installation of energy-saving lights or the processing of plastic waste.
