go4IT! basic workshop "BOB-3"
Date: May 19 until June 20.10.2020th, XNUMX

The goal of these new go4IT! basic workshops is that the girls are allowed to keep the self-built and programmed hardware and thus have the opportunity to further expand their programming skills in school lessons, in a club or privately at home. For this we work with BOB-3. BOB-3 is a small robot from Nicai Systems, which the girls first solder together, then program and finally, and that is the decisive advantage, they can take it home and continue programming there at any time.
After the girls have gotten to know the different components of the BOB-3, it's time to start programming. The girls program the BOB-3 textually in a specially prepared environment, so that in the end the proud and impressed looks of the parents and friends are certain. Further information

Now it's off to the recording studio, because this course is all about music production. And at the end of the three-day course you produced your own song. What are the terms "Sync" and "Master Tune" and what are the technical implications of these tools? What are the basics of sound design and audio engineering? With ready-made loops and melodies as well as self-programmed beats and rhythms you then produce your personal hit. Of course you will also discuss the path to a finished production (GEMA registration, label, publisher, online store). At the end you will also learn the technical basics of DJing and can also try them out on professional equipment.

CAUSE OF DEATH SALT (DEFICIENCY): SALT – CHEMISTRY AND HEALTHDate: Wednesday, October 21.10.2020, 10, 00:14 a.m. to 00:XNUMX p.m Whether sodium deficiency or sodium excess, both can cause serious damage in the human body and, in the worst case, lead to death. News like this comes as a surprise, because for most of us, sodium chloride is a trivial condiment whose absence we only notice when the salt is missing from the soup. In this workshop you will learn what common salt can really do and why it can be so dangerous for our body - but also essential for survival. During a tour of the Westphalian Salt Worlds, a guide will provide you with amazing facts about the crystalline substance.
With the help of your senses and the museum exhibits, you will explore which bodily functions can only work with the right pinch of salt - then you look for further answers in the laboratory and find out what other tricks are possible with ordinary table salt, because behind the crystal there are exciting and properties mostly unknown to us. Then you go on a short walk through the spa park in Bad Sassendorf and with the help of a refractometer you can find out how salt and brine are still used there today for human well-being. Location:  Westphalian Salt Worlds, Bad Sassendorf
